How to sign up for Student Developer Pack?

1. Access the application page:
   Visit GitHub Student Developer Pack page and click on Sign up for Student Developer Pack

   
2. Sign in to your GitHub account
   • Make sure you are signed in to an account that is linked with your university email.
3. Under Select your role in education select Student
   
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and fill out the Application.
   • Select or add your school-issued email address.
   • Specify your school name.
     

   After clicking Continue, you will be prompted to share your location so GitHub can verify your affiliation with your chosen school.

   
5. Upload proof of your academic status
   You will be prompted to upload proof of your academic status.
   • Under Proof Type, use the dropdown to select the type of proof you are providing.
     
6. Review and submit your application
   • Verify all details in your application.
   • Click Process my application to submit.

   If you see a banner asking you to fix something in your application after clicking Process my application, follow the instructions to correct the issue and then click Reprocess my application.

7. Wait for approval:
   Applications are usually processed within a few days, but it may take longer during peak times, such as during the start of a new semester. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your application is approved!
